Duffield appoints Norbert Dentressangle

Based in Saxlingham Thorpe, Norwich, with another site in Wingham, Kent, the family owned company has been supplying farmers in East Anglia and the South East with animal feeds in the ruminant, pig and poultry sectors for over 100 years. More recently, Duffield has expanded its business with the addition of bespoke concentrates and packaged products, taking its combined factory and traded goods production to over 250,000 tonnes of feed per year. Managing this growth led the company to seek a specialist pallet transport solution to ensure it meets customer demand. Under its contract, Norbert Dentressangle makes daily collections of palletised products from Duffields' mill in Saxlingham and a storage depot in Bury St Edmunds before consolidating loads at its nearby site in Ipswich. Next day deliveries are made to various customer locations including game, dairy, poultry, pig and stud farms via its shared-user network. Duffields also owns Pen Mill Feeds based in Yeovil and also uses the Norbert Dentressangle transport network to supply feeds across the South and South West regions to cater for the high number of livestock reared in the areas.
