Figleaves.com sets sights on further growth with SAP

Online branded lingerie retailer Figleaves.com figleaves.com has selected Chelford and SAP ERP to better manage the way it deals with its 200 suppliers and obtain visibility throughout its worldwide supply chain.

The company says that significant growth meant it quickly outgrew its original Sage, then Navision and in-house systems. So it engaged independent consultants to find the most suitable software. “When I saw SAP had made the final two, I was shocked,” says Figleaves.com CEO Daniel Nabarro. “I had always thought of the company as being too expensive, too big and too bureaucratic. “However, when we looked objectively, I saw that the SAP proposal was the most compliant, comprehensive and competent on offer. We are confident that SAP will deliver the best value for money … and is fully able to support our high growth ambitions.” Figleaves.com will be implementing SAP ERP to cover the core back office functions, particularly finance and procurement. It expects the software to improve alignment of strategies and operations, improve flexibility and enable the company to react faster to changing industry requirements. The SAP solution will be supplied by SAP partner Chelford, which has also been contracted by figleaves.com to implement the software. Justin Brading, sales director of Chelford SAP Solutions, says: “Chelford has solid experience of working with SAP implementations in specialist distribution industries, particularly multi-channel. We are delighted that such a high profile, fast growing retailer has chosen SAP and Chelford.”
