Haima Motor China engineers PTC solution for Mazda link
Chinese automobile manufacturer FAW Haima Motor says it has adopted engineering data management software company PTC’s Product Development System to optimise its collaboration with partner car giant Mazda in Japan.
The implementation includes Pro/Engineer 3D modelling, and the Windchill PDMLink and Windchill ProjectLink PLM (product lifecycle management) modules. Haima also engaged PTC’s global services team for the project.
Hitherto, Haima had handled product development and control data management from Mazda manually – but the firm was concerned about the speed and reliability of data exchange.
“PTC’s solutions have become essential in meeting our strategic goals,” says Wu Song, PDM project manager at Haima Motor. “PTC has the most extensive and comprehensive global services support for us. Its solutions and services have significantly improved collaborative product development between Haima Motor and Mazda.”
Since implementing PTC solutions, errors caused by manual data management have been greatly reduced. PTC Windchill solutions are now used by Haima Motor employees in China and overseas.
