Maillefer chooses IFS to streamline extrusion and winding business

Extrusion and winding solutions manufacturer Maillefer says it has chosen "IFS Applications to support growth and streamline corporate processes".

The company, which serves the wire, cable and pipe industries, says implementations will start simultaneously in Switzerland and Finland, using a group core model, with go-live expected early next year. "We wanted a complete, modern business software system that could support our business plans," explains Gilles Gauchoux, CIO, Maillefer. "At the same time, it needed to be agile enough to cover the entire value chain. The component architecture in IFS Applications gives it the capacity to deliver a wide range of functionality within the same product, using a common user interface." And he adds: "IFS Applications is one of the few tools that are project-orientated, with very strong engineer-to-order and maintenance capabilities." The solution includes core IFS Applications components providing functionality for project management, manufacturing, financials and corporate performance management. The contract is valued at €1.3 million.
