WH Malcolm has recently taken delivery of a new fleet of Toyota Tonero gas-powered counterbalance forklift trucks for a warehouse and manufacturing site in Harlow, Essex.

After a series of trials with forklift truck suppliers, WH Malcolm decided to renew the fleet of Toyota LPG forklifts at the glass manufacturing facility. The new fleet includes seven Toyota Tonero counterbalance forklifts ranging from 2 to 3.5 tonnes, a Traigo 48-volt electric counterbalance forklift, two BT Levio 2.0 tonne powered pallet trucks, as well as one Tracto 6 tonne sit-on tow tractor. The Tonero trucks are equipped with Toyota's Safety Plus Package which includes features such as a load weight indicator and speed and acceleration controls. Freddy Solomon, head of warehousing & strategy at WH Malcolm, commented: "The reliability of the Toyota products and contract flexibility gave us the confidence to continue working with Toyota Material Handling UK." Toyota works with WH Malcolm throughout the UK, both at its own warehousing sites as well as operating within customer manufacturing sites.
