Utility management specialist Orchard Energy has appointed Lucia Harney-Dey (pictured) to the role of industrial and commercial development director.

Harney-Dey will be responsible for driving sales and growth across the business, while heading the new business team.

Harney-Dey said: “I am thrilled to join the director team at this exciting time. I have seen Orchard grow into the leading consultancy that it is today – offering a service of the highest quality to all our clients ensures we stand out from the crowd. I am now tasked with continuing our growth and will be looking at all areas of utility management to ensure that we are leading from the front in all areas of our service.”

Having previously served as associate director for new business (North), Harney-Dey joins Orchard Energy’s senior management team alongside commercial director for water Chris Quinn, client services director Nohman Ali, financial director Simon Worrall, operations director Collette Watts, and managing director Amar Hussain.

Orchard Energy, which specialises in energy purchasing, utility services and water management for businesses across the UK, is headquartered in Elland, West Yorkshire, and has regional offices in Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol and Newcastle. The changes, which also include the additions of Quinn and Ali to the senior management team, follow Hussain’s appointment as managing director of the business in April.

Hussain added: “This trio of appointments to the senior management team further underpin our ambitions as a business, and I’d like to congratulate Lucia on her new role. Lucia has joined the senior management team after progressing through the business, and brings with her a wealth of experience from within the energy industry, and an acute understanding of upcoming opportunities for growth.”
