Sage has announced the UK launch of Sage ERP X3 already proven in 38 countries. Aimed at global manufacturing businesses, it's being billed as a robust, highly scalable and easy to integrate system.
"As many of our UK customers increasingly expand their international footprint, Sage has the understanding and expertise to help them avoid making costly, cumbersome and complex investments," comments Jim Scott, general manager of Sage's Enterprise Business.
"That is why we have brought our leading and cost effective international ERP solution to the UK market. Unlike many enterprise software providers that have scaled down their solutions for the mid-market, Sage ERP X3 was developed for the mid-market from day one and is already used by more than 70,000 users across the globe in 2,500 companies, such as Fiat or Saint-Gobain Semiconductor," he adds.
Key points, according to Scott, include ease of customisation and web-native code, as well as low total cost of ownership.
It also has a range of multi-platform desktop client and web-based deployment combinations, harnessing Oracle or Microsoft SQL server databases. Scope includes finance, sales, CRM, inventory management, purchasing and manufacturing.
Scott says that, thanks to its intuitive user-friendly interface based on Sage Visual Processes, embedded business intelligence and integrated CRM functionality, Sage ERP X3 provides "a rich user experience that improves collaboration and increases business insight, whilst reducing the costs and complexities of integrating operations across multiple territories".
