Siemens Motion Control Congleton has won a prize at the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence Awards.

The Jury awarded Siemens Congleton a prize for "leading with vision, inspiration and integrity" and "developing organisational capabilities". Marc Amblard, chief executive Officer of EFQM, said: "The main challenge for Siemens Congleton, as with many manufacturers in Europe, is to secure its future. It needs to remain cost competitive within the global market, whilst ensuring its ability to deliver quality products on time, every time. "It has risen to meet this challenge by creating an agile, innovative organisation, with a zero defect culture, that has enabled it to compete not just on quality but also on price with anyone, anywhere. We are delighted to recognise its great efforts, and we are convinced it'll inspire others." Andrew Peters, managing director of Siemens Congleton, added: "This is testament to all of the hard work from our dedicated people in Congleton - who have worked extremely hard to become globally recognised for delivering quality products. We are very proud of this award and we must now use it to help inspire future generations of engineers here in Congleton."
