TXT closes gap between supply chain and business intelligence

Supply chain software developer TXT e-solutions says it is combining the analytical capabilities of business intelligence with demand and supply chain management.

TXT Perform 2008 exploits new technologies as a result of its partnership with Microsoft, which, it says, make it easier and cheaper to add specialist industry software like TXT’s onto existing ERP solutions. The company also claims that functionality and performance are superior to supply chain systems provided by “generalist ERP suppliers”. Marco Guida, general manager of TXT e-solutions, says that users can expect, for example, better demand forecast accuracy meaning they will also be able to improve stock level and delivery planning. He also claims that project deployment time, costs and ROI are extremely competitive, compared to alternative solutions. Guida says that TXT Perform 2008 will enable users to concurrently plan, analyse and manage their supply chains, as well as examine sales and new product introduction patterns. He pitches it as the tool of choice to investigate cause-and-effect across business processes, particularly for leading companies in industries that require an agile and responsive supply chain, such as in fashion, food and fast moving consumer goods manufacturing industries. “We are looking for qualified partners in Europe and USA, as well as in other parts of the world,” says Guida. “We are strengthening our direct force to support, sell and provide application consulting. We aim to grow our customer base into the thousands as rapidly as possible.”
