Anika Ephraim, Elfab managing director, is the latest manufacturing leader to join the EEF Regional Advisory Board for the North East.

North East manufacturer Elfab provides pressure relief solutions to global industries. EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has been supporting UK manufacturing and engineering for 120 years.

Anika Ephraim commented: “As managing director of a manufacturing and engineering business which has been a member of EEF for many years and having seen the benefits that membership can bring to a business, I was delighted to be asked to join the Regional Advisory Board. I’m looking forward to working alongside the other Regional Advisory Board members and providing input to ensure the evolving needs of members are met.

“I am also an advocate for EEF’s aim to improve the image of manufacturing and at Elfab we are working hard to dispel the traditionally held views of manufacturing. One example of this is our diversity strategy which is driving innovation and competitiveness in our business. Sharing experiences and best practice across the membership body will serve to strengthen UK manufacturing to the benefit of us all.”

Ben Carpenter Merritt, regional affairs manager at EEF, said: “As a membership organisation, we rely heavily on the direct input of our members to shape our policy positions and to ensure we represent their needs and concerns to government. Anika is a great advocate for EEF, the manufacturing sector and the region as a whole, therefore it was an easy decision to invite her to join the board. The depth of knowledge Anika brings from her experience within manufacturing and engineering are a fantastic addition, and we look forward to working closely with her in the future.”
