Hugh Facey OBE and Sheffield-based manufacturer of wire joiners, Gripple, have released a charity Christmas single in aid of Whirlow Hall Farm Trust.

Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, a Sheffield-based charity, is a working farm which aims to inspire, nurture and expand horizons for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2019, the charity has set itself a challenge of raising £1m in 2019 to further develop its services and facilities for the benefit of children across the South Yorkshire region.

Titled ‘Grumpiness (Santa’s Christmas Crisis)’, the song is a new take on an original song, ‘Happiness’, recorded by Bill Anderson and later covered by popular comedian, Ken Dodd.

The song features Hugh, founder and chairman of Gripple and director of Whirlow Hall Farm trust, as ‘grumpy’ Santa, disillusioned with modern life but cheered up by the children and the arrival of Christmas time. The song has been played, recorded and produced by Gripple employees.

The song is available to stream and download on Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music, with all proceeds going to Whirlow Hall Farm Trust. The music video can also be viewed by clicking the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuDpeGz6MZY&feature=youtu.be
