“This is particularly good news for active job hunters and anyone who may be looking for their next role. If you’re starting to get itchy feet and feel like it could be time to make your next career move, there are an abundance of great opportunities in this industry right now.”

In addition, the manufacturing sector also saw an increase in job vacancies when compared with Q2 2017. The industry saw an increase of 7.4% quarter-on-quarter.

Biggins concluded: “It’s clear from the data that businesses in the manufacturing industry are continuing to invest in their workforce, and are showing no signs of slowing down. If you are looking for a new role, this further confirms that now is the perfect time to do so, especially if you’re looking for an exciting opportunity in the sector.”
