On-line transactions grow by 675% in 12 months on Endorsia’s e-marketplace

Endorsia.com's online monthly transactions have increased by 675% over the last year – from 7,600 in April 2000 to 59,000 transactions in May 2001. Dean Palmer reports.

Endorsia.com, the industrial goods e-marketplace backed by the likes of SKF Bearings, Rockwell Automation, Timkin and Sandvik, has just released figures which indicate that monthly transactions over the site have increased by 675% over the last year – from 7,600 in April 2000 to 59,000 transactions in May 2001. The web marketplace, arguably one of the biggest successes in the online trading world, now boasts over 600 distributors and 15 global manufacturers, with 20 countries and 13 languages involved. James Fair, vp MRO Software, the IT brains behind the trading site, comments: “Endorsia.com is outstanding proof that e-marketplaces and IT investments can and do work … Endorsia is now the largest industrial e-marketplace in the world.”
