Packaging company TrakRap wins national award

Secondary packaging company TrakRap is celebrating success after winning an award at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

The TrakRap Packaging System won the Innovation award at the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Awards 2018. Hosted by Jay Rayner, restaurant critic and food journalist, the awards celebrate the achievements of those working in the UK’s food and drink manufacturing industry.

The TrakRap Packaging System combines stretch wrapping machinery with specially designed, ultra-thin stretch film and innovative pack designs to provide 100% recyclable secondary packaging solutions for manufacturers of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supplying supermarkets and retailers.

The Food and Drink Federation Awards recognise companies that have made significant achievements in the fields of product research and/or development. TrakRap was praised for the technological advancements it has made to its packaging machines over the last three years, which include designing them to be Industry 4.0-enabled so that they can continually learn and develop, allowing them to minimise waste and increase production speeds.
