‘End-of-line’ retail-ready packaging company TrakRap has appointed Simon Burrow as commercial director to lead its growth plans.

Simon has 30 years’ experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) manufacturing, having previously held senior commercial roles with major organisations. In his new role, Simon will focus on positioning the TrakRap system as the go-to solution for end-of-line packaging for organisations in the FMCG sector.

He said: “The TrakRap system for end-of-line packaging creates a tremendous opportunity for manufacturers to reduce plastic in the FMCG supply chain by around 70%, while at the same time consuming nearly 90% less power than conventional shrink-wrapping technology.

“To have been invited to lead such an important development - which will have a significant impact on plastic and CO2 reduction in our industry - is a privilege and I am looking forward to helping manufacturers and retailers take an important step forward in meeting their environmental objectives.”

Martin Leeming, CEO of TrakRap, said: “We’re thrilled to have added Simon to our growing team. He is a hugely experienced professional who knows our industry inside-out and I’m sure his customer service-led approach will open more doors for us and allow us to grow even faster.”
