APPH to implement IFS ERP at seven sites

Aerospace systems integrator APPH is to implement IFS Applications 7, specifically including manufacturing, advanced planning and scheduling and maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) software, across seven sites around the world for more than 250 users.

APPH group, which is part of BBA Aviation, is a landing gear and hydraulic systems integrator that works with military, civil and business aviation customers. The company has an engineering design facility, and is taking major steps to grow its business in the global aviation market. It says its new ERP will support that expansion, providing support for enhanced customer service, particularly in aircraft on ground situations, and to help improve internal process workflows and efficiencies. “After an in-depth evaluation of the options, we chose IFS for its proven single-solution business software,” says David Haslam, managing director, APPH. “Original design, through manufacture, and on to repair and overhaul in an aerospace environment, demands top-quality support systems and flawless quality control. It is our aim to provide our customers with the very highest levels of service and reliability in a timely manner. IFS was the natural choice to help us achieve those goals on an international scale,” he adds. IFS Applications will bring together several disparate legacy systems within APPH business units in the UK and North America, to form one cohesive and streamlined organisation. Specifically, IFS Applications will be implemented in the finance, sales, manufacturing, repair and overhaul, projects, engineering, contracting, purchasing and spares logistics areas of the organisation. APPH will also monitor their key business metrics using IFS Balanced Scorecards and control all documentation using IFS Document Management.
