Aston Martin is offering an exclusive tour of its Gaydon factory to Works Management readers.

The tour will offer exclusive insight into the lean manufacturing process that ensure world-class quality standards at the luxury British sportscar manufacturer.

Approximately 200 man-hours are involved in building each Vanquish, DB9, Rapide S, V12 Vantage S and V8 Vantage.

Cars are made in a series of work stations, where technicians hand-build the cars. Once work is completed at one station, the bodies are moved to the next station on the small indexed line: quality is always key according to Aston Martin.

As is safety and the factory tour will explore the safety first culture that has earned Gaydon an unprecedented four Sword of Honour Awards from the British Safety Council.

Aston Martin management will also be delivering a workshop seminar on how they engage their workforce in Continuous Improvement and the quest for Production Excellence.

This Aston Martin best practice day is priced £550 to WM readers and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
