Best Factory Awards 2013 open for entry with new online form

The Best Factory Awards (BFAs) will launch a new export category and an easy to use online entry form for 2013.

Cranfield School of Management's judging team will be on the hunt for Britain's top manufacturing exporter alongside 12 other accolades, including the coveted prize of Factory of the Year.
The category has been added in the spirit of the continuous improvement the awards seek to celebrate, said WM editor Max Gosney.
He said: ""Export sales and the ability to achieve drastically reduced lead times have become mainstays of successful UK manufacturers since the BFAs launched in 1992. We want to reflect and champion that by shining a light on the best in class in these fields."
Manufacturers will also be able to enter the awards online for the first time in 2013.
Entrants will be able to complete the online questionnaire at their leisure, with applicants able to save and reload their forms over several weeks.
The Best Factory Awards 2013 are now officially open with entries closing in April. The awards celebrate the cream of UK manufacturing talent, with the winners announced at a glittering awards ceremony at London's Number Eight hotel on 27 September.
