The winners of the 2012 Best Factory Awards will reunite at the Best Factory Conference in Kenilworth next month (19-20 March), to share with others in the industry how they transformed their factories into showcases of lean excellence with empowered workforces and high-performance processes.

Patrick Mroczak, operations director at 2012 Factory of the Year Aimia Foods, will reveal how he turned a corporate vision into targets that mattered for shopfloor workers. And Renishaw's Gareth Hankins will detail the improvement process that ensured world-class quality on 70,000 assembles at the company's Woodchester site. The Best Factory Conference is run annually by Cranfield School of Management in partnership with Works Management to share best practice among those aspiring to achieve world-class production standards. Director of the Best Factory Awards, Dr Marek Szwejczewski from Cranfield School of Management said: "The winning manufacturers in the 2012 Best Factory Awards succeeded by listening to their customers, working more closely with their suppliers, innovating their products and processes and harnessing the potential of their people. "Presentations and workshops at the conference will be delivered by last year's Best Factory Award winners and will cover guidance on everything from winning shopfloor support for change to developing high performance work teams. Delegates will hear how Britain's finest factories slashed their lead times, improved productivity and lowered the cost of operations through lean and production innovation." A limited number of places are still available for the event. To secure the early-bird booking rate, contact Jackie Hall at Cranfield School of Management on 01234 754505 or click the link below.
