Brompton Bikes welcomes Cycling Minister

Brompton Bicycle welcomed Cycling Minister Jesse Norman to its factory in West London on Tuesday.

The Minister (image, right) visited the Greenford-based manufacturer and met chief executive Will Butler-Adams (image, left) to discuss the Department for Transport’s call for evidence on cycling.

Norman was taken for a guided tour of the Brompton factory, which produces around 45,000 bikes a year, before taking a test ride of the new Brompton Electric – Brompton’s first venture into the e-bike market.

The Department’s call for evidence on cycling and walking in this country, which started back in March, is an opportunity for people to share their views and opinions on everything from improved infrastructure to education for all road users. It closes on 1 June.
