Reminding manufacturers of the truism that business leaders need to use IT effectively to stay ahead of the game, while IT leaders need new solutions to innovate and stay relevant, global IT compliance body ISACA says both can benefit from its INSIGHTS 2013 event.

The conference, which runs from 10—12 June 2013, at the Estrel Berlin Hotel in Berlin, Germany, will focus on smart business and technology, and how integration can help businesses transform. Marc Vael, international vice president at ISACA, and chief audit executive at Smals, says that he Berlin conference will focus squarely on the effective integration of business and technology within organisations. "The theme for this year's INSIGHTS is 'Smart IT + Smart Business = A Smart Future', with a focus on how the business and IT can partner more effectively and efficiently to optimise performance and return proper and significant value," states Vael. Delegates, he says, will have opportunities to participate with experts in every session, as well as sharing experience; networking; and taking away new perspectives. INSIGHTS 2013's opening keynote presenter will be Dr. Herman Konings, futurist and founder of nXt and Opus X, think tanks for trends and forecasting. Konings will discuss the century of the entangled consumer and global trends. The closing keynote presenter will be Egidio Zarrella, senior advisory partner with KPMG China. With specialisations in business and IT strategy transformation, outsourcing and offshoring, Zarella will help participants navigate through future complexity and change.
