Cranfield University to host national manufacturing debate

Some of the UK's leading manufacturers are coming together to discuss challenges and opportunities in creating a secure and sustainable future for manufacturing.

The conference, organised by Cranfield University, is being supported by Works Management and will focus on just how well prepared the manufacturing sector is to take full advantage of the economic recovery. With presentations from Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems and EEF to name a few, speakers will give an expert insight from their own experiences on how technology and servitization can be utilised to enhance organisational performance and competitiveness. The two day event will be opened with a tour and demonstration of Cranfield's state-of-the-art facilities and equipment followed by a day of presentations. Works Management Editor, Ken Hurst, will chair a breakout out panel where all attendees will be given a forum to voice their opinions on the manufacturing industry. Delegates will also have the opportunity to contribute to a white paper that Cranfield will be publishing from the debate. The conference is being held on the 13 - 14 May 2010 at Cranfield Univsity in Bedfordshire.
