Cyon opens 2012 engineering software study

US-based Cyon Research has launched its 2012 global survey of engineering software users, aimed at establishing businesses' technology plans for CAD, CAE and PLM (product lifecycle management) system uptake.

The self-styled think tank – which focuses on tools, processes and procedures for design, manufacturing and management – says the survey is open to employees of any company that uses CAD, CAE, PDM and/or PLM software for design, engineering and/or manufacturing. Cyon says the goal is to explore everything from users' attitudes, expectations and plans for their engineering software, to businesses' outlook, their spending and hiring plans, and their views about any changes in their engineering software mix. Respondents from qualifying firms can get a copy of the survey results, for their personal use, at no cost.
