For manufacturers that need rugged, reliable portable PCs for their shopfloor, computer and industrial displays manufacturer Dolch Computer Systems has just released its new ‘ultra-rugged’ FlexPAC portable PC. And users wanting to run power-hungry applications will not be disappointed. FlexPAC is powered by a 1GHz Intel Pentium III processor with 133MHz front-side bus speed. Dolch claims it’s the first vendor to break the 1GHz barrier in the industry. The combination of fast processing speed with rugged reliability enables manufacturing users to graphically analyse complex data acquisition, test and measurement data, networking and communications information.
