Delivering business transformation through effectively engaging your people will be under the spotlight at the first ever Enterprise Excellence Summit in Edinburgh.

The conference on 26 November at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre includes keynote speaker Zenji Koshaka, a leading figure behind the Toyota production System.

Koshaka will reveal how companies can enable successful change by fostering pride and responsibility in their workers.

Fellow speaker, George Donaldson will explain how Newsprinters, Eurocentral become the first ever UK-site to win a Shingo Award by winning workforce trust

Newsprinters created a set of enlightened guiding principles such as honesty, dynamism and motivation and empowered its employees as problem solvers.

The Enterprise Excellence Conference will examine how other businesses can create a more compelling business culture.

Donaldson said: “Our speakers, all globally regarded experts in CI, all share one common view: that success can only be delivered by people who share your vision and feel a sense of pride and responsibility in what they do.

“The reasons a lot of so called people-focussed initiatives fail is that they’re all based around a company hiring a consultant to implement a management tool. This might create a short term feel good factor but it will not change mindsets.”

The speaker line-up also features Mike Martyn, author of lean management book, Own the Gap and lean expert, John Bicheno of the University of Buckinghamshire
