£7.5 million turnover roofing and reinforcements manufacturer Foregale has upgraded its financial software to Opera 3, from Pegasus.

Tim Scott, accounts manager at Foregale, explains that the firm Foregale has been using Pegasus Opera II since 2004, having upgraded from a Unix system. Now every aspect of the Foregale business runs through Opera 3, from sales to accounts, dispatch notes to credit notes. "Moving to Opera 3 was the best thing Foregale has ever done and without it we'd be unable to operate successfully," states Scott. "Reports can be produced within seconds, as opposed to days, and backups can run automatically overnight, without requiring manual intervention," he continues. "Opera 3 is simple, clean and intuitive, which makes it easy to gather crucial business information in a timely manner." Scott also comments on the new system's improved user interface and the increased flexibility, in terms of data input. "Thanks to Opera 3," he confirms, "Foregale can operate as an efficient and streamlined business, well placed to ride out the economic storms both now and in the future." Foregale has 15 Opera 3 users and the system is accessed both by personnel in its head office in Liversedge and remotely by an additional team based in Hull. The upgrade to Opera 3 was successfully managed by Genesis Business Systems.
