Garador claims long-serving employee record
The Somerset-based garage door manufacturer Garador is boasting an employee service record that it reckons to be second to none, with the average employee working for the company for 18 years.
Garador, which recently extended its Yeovil factory (pictured) "to make it the most modern of its kind in Europe"' employs 80 people and the longest serving member of staff has been working with the company for 50 years.
Managing director Simon Hipgrave said: "Once a member of staff has been with us for 25 years, they are awarded with a £250 cash bonus to thank them for their loyalty to the company."
Hipgrave added: "It doesn't seem that our team need much encouragement to stay with us though: Our longest serving member of staff in the factory has been with us for nearly 42 years whilst on the management side of the business, one member of the team has been with us for half a decade."
