Golf equipment manufacturer Acushnet has chosen Demantra’s demand management software to optimise the supply chain forecasting of one of its leading brands, FootJoy. As a result of implementing the new software the firm expects to meet consumer needs more accurately and cut excess inventory. And Demantra Suite will also enable the company to better analyse the data it collects and then use the results to make more informed decisions. “In a competitive market, it’s essential to keep inventory costs as low as possible while ensuring that our customers are able to obtain the products they’re looking for,” said Acushnet’s senior VP Peg Nicholson. “Demantra Suite will streamline this process and help us reduce forecasting errors and inventory investment while improving delivery of goods to our customers.” Multi-dimensional views of the demand forecasting information will enable Acushnet to improve company processes through better collaboration between internal departments. And best practice metrics will be established that alert FootJoy associates to changes in their business and allow management to take immediate corrective action.
