Incuity manufacturing intelligence becomes part of Rockwell Automation

So-called EMI (enterprise manufacturing intelligence) software developer Incuity Software has been acquired by Rockwell Automation, for an undisclosed sum.

Incuity’s products are used to monitor production operations and enterprise systems for manufacturing. Rockwell says it expects the acquisition to expand its FactoryTalk MES (manufacturing execution system) software suite. “The newest software, IncuityEMI 2.6, easily integrates many disparate information sources from production operations and other enterprise systems,” says Kevin Roach, vice president of Rockwell Software. “[It] delivers unique insights into enterprise performance and key operational metrics, and empowers personnel to drill down and analyse the root causes associated with manufacturing problems,” he adds. “Combining Incuity’s capabilities with the FactoryTalk integrated production management and performance suite will create tremendous value for our customers.” Incuity claims more than 45,000 seats of its products installed in 40 countries in 13 languages. Roach says that its management and employees will become part of Rockwell Automation’s Architecture and Software operating segment.
