Infor accelerates product development for process manufacturers

The product lifecycle management system now offers single sign-on and includes the company's Infor10 ION middleware to streamline connection with multiple third-party business applications. Venkat Rajaji, global product manager for Infor PLM, makes the point that that the software is now capable of integrating with various SAP applications, through Infor10 ION, which will please the many organisations using SAP for ERP. "Process manufacturers are facing unprecedented pressure to develop products and get them to the marketplace faster," states Rajaji. "By taking advantage of Infor's ION and Workspace technology, as well as a scripting library and web client enablement, Infor10 PLM Process delivers greater speed, agility and collaboration than ever before in the industry," he adds. In many cases, process manufacturers running SAP ERP applications will now be able to take advantage of packaged integration to PLM Process – so improving business process monitoring and enabling data sharing, and integrated workflows across the business.
