Institute of Export & International Trade launch new online global Customs Academy

The Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT) and KGH, providing Maersk Customs Service in Europe, have launched of Customs Academy – a new global e-learning platform for customs, logistics and international trade compliance.

The new e-learning platform is built on a long-term partnership between KGH and the IOE&IT. Through the UK Customs Academy, digital customs training has already been delivered successfully to the UK trading community. Customs Academy will offer a wide range of digital training on core customs, logistics topics and industry best practice, delivered in various languages.

Marco Forgione, director general the Institute of Export & International Trade, said: “We are proud to announce the launch of a truly global e-learning platform as a resource for customs professionals. The Customs Academy also will enable companies to access the highest quality training for their new entrants.”

The Customs Academy represents a learning ecosystem for the Customs profession that is capable of supporting individual and corporate members across different organisations with a lifelong learning journey. It is based on a modular structure which allows the learner to access those modules that are of relevance to their professional area of interest and level of development, without the need to undertake a formal qualification.
