Blanson Ltd, cast acrylic experts, are delighted to have been awarded the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. Fewer than 200 such awards are given out annually to recognise outstanding achievement. Blanson’s award recognises their exceptional success in the field of international trade.

Since their foundation in Leicester in 1964, Blanson has risen to become a world leader in the creation of a range of products for the medical, pharmaceutical and marine sectors. They are the recognised global experts in manufacturing large pressure-rated acrylic domed windows for submersibles - you may have seen their handiwork on the BBC’s Blue Planet.

As winners of The King’s Award for Enterprise, a director of Blanson will be invited to a Royal reception. Their team will also be presented with the award at their Leicestershire headquarters by the King’s official representative, Lord-Lieutenant Mike Kapur.

“We are delighted that Blanson’s expertise and experience have been recognised by His Majesty The King with this award,” says Managing Director Andy Turner. “For nearly 60 years we have been dedicated to leading the way in developing acrylic products that meet unique challenges in terms of pressure, visual clarity and biocompatibility. This award shows that we are at the top of our field and is a testament to the excellent reputation that British manufacturing holds on the global stage.”
