Supply chain design and optimisation consultancy Oliver Wight is offering supply chain leaders the chance to attend a pre-conference day at the 10th annual Extended Supply Chain Conference next Monday (16 April 2012).

Oliver Wight CEO Les Brookes explains that tickets for the pre-conference day, which kick-starts the three-day ESC2012 event, are limited number of tickets available for event, so interested parties need to sign up fast. The conference itself, at Radisson Blu Hotel, London, brings together thought-leaders in supply chain optimisation from across Europe, with a series of workshops, panel discussions and presentations on how to increase visibility, reduce inventory and improve efficiency across supply chains. "The health of any organisation depends more than ever on its ability to successfully meet the demands of its customers," warns Brookes. "With this comes increasing pressure for businesses to become more agile, reduce inventory and drive efficiency," he continues. "It is no longer enough to have your own business under control: optimising your supply chain is essential for achieving an efficient, profitable business and gaining competitive advantage." Brookes, who will be presenting at the event, says that the pre-conference day will include presentations on several supply chain topics, including performance benchmarking and integrated business planning (effectively, advanced S&OP), as well as a session on the role of technology in the supply chain, from solutions provider Infor. Tickets are available from Oliver Wight's Zoe Davis on 01452 397200 or zoe.davis@oliverwight-eame.com
