Workful transforms the training and processes of engineering and operations teams by turning existing data into digital 3D work instructions. This allows organisations to replace static 2D drawings, PDFs and photos with interactive, real-time information.

Automation and Digital Work Instructions for OEMs

The introduction of automation means that original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can now self-serve by simply uploading product data – such as CAD files – to create 3D instructions manuals almost instantly. Workful also provides manufacturers with one-click distribution.

Benefits of Workful for Manufacturing Training and Process Quality

Sam Burgess, CEO and founder of Partful said: ‘‘This is helping to refine process quality, improve team communication and reduce the risk of error in environments such as assembly and production lines, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting. It is also helping to speed up training and onboarding.’’

Burgess continues: ‘‘When it comes to work instructions, manufacturers have traditionally had to rely on lengthy static documents or PowerPoint. All too often, these are either out-of-date or difficult to comprehend, and that’s when costly mistakes can occur, and time is wasted. The automation of Workful means instructions can be created and updated in a fraction of the time. This is empowering engineers to maintain and fix equipment more quickly – and feel confident that they are getting it right first time, every time.’’

Integration of 3D Parts Catalog and Work Instructions

Workful follows the automation of Partful’s 3D Parts Catalog earlier this year. The combined product suite makes it easier for engineers to identify and order the components they need and to access the work instructions to fit them.

Industry Events and The Future of Digital Thread in Manufacturing

Partful will be hosting a discussion at the Smart Manufacturing Expo on the 4th – 5th June which will explore how manufacturers can take advantage of the Digital Thread – the flow of data that traces a product’s lifecycle from cradle to grave – and avoid the pitfalls that can lead to it being broken.
