More multi-national manufacturers are buying into advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software developer Preactor’s lean scheduling message.

The company reports several large system wins, the latest including: Slovenia steel manufacturer Acroni, Twining Tea, US speciality metals producer GO Carlson and Goodyear Brazil in Sao Paulo. All have gone for Preactor’s Enterprise solution, which offers manufacturers a way to standardise planning and scheduling across multiple plants, rolling out its integrated approach to simulation and supply chain management across locations and countries. Says Preactor president and CEO Mike Novels: “As the market for APS matures, global companies are increasingly looking for global providers they can trust to deliver APS solutions that can be customised for their specific needs and then rolled out to multiple sites supported and trained by local experts in their own language. “With over 10,000 installations in 2000+ companies using Preactor across a total of in 64 countries, backed up by a global partner network comprising in excess of 300 distributors, Preactor is in a unique position to offer this.”
