Print driver makes mobile printing a reality
Xerox has launched a free and downloadable print driver that lets mobile workers print to any printer or multi-function printer on any network, anywhere – whether it’s a Xerox printer, or not.
Dubbed Mobile Express Driver, it means that mobile users can simply plug their laptops into a network and, even though they’re not mapped to a printer, print whatever they want.
The software tool displays up a pop-up print screen that automatically identifies all available printers, allowing users to pick a printer and click print.
Says Darren Cassidy, director and general manager for the Office Group at Xerox UK: “It removes a real headache for the travelling office worker. No matter where they are, workers can now print their documents in just a few clicks.”
