SaaS ERP helps Marshall Electric Automotive achieve Ford Q1 status

Automotive ignition coils manufacturer Marshall Electric is reporting that QAD On-Demand ERP has helped the company earn Ford Q1 status, a key automotive OEM compliance certification.

And as a result, Marshall Electric has more than doubled its business from $12 million to $26 million since 2010 when the QAD software was installed. "We investigated other ERP systems, like SAP and other mid-level software, but QAD offered the only solution that met our specific requirements, such as a China-ready internationalisation," states Dan Miller, president of Marshall Electric. QAD On Demand, with its built-in process maps, enabled Marshall Electric to meet Ford's mandatory MMOG/LE (Materials Management Operations Guidelines/Logistics Evaluation) Level A requirements, he explains. Moreover, harnessing QAD On Demand facilities aimed at simplifying operations and communications between its Chinese manufacturing plant and US warehouse, has also enabled Marshall to sustain growth and productivity, while adding only one new full-time employee to its office staff. "With QAD, we've gained the keys to success with our single integrated ERP system," says Miller. "We're growing in this economy, because we are able to operate at peak efficiency."
