SAP system sparkles at Schloss Wachenheim

Sparkling wine producer Schloss Wachenheim in Germany has gone live with its integrated SAP extension, now covering finance and accounting.

The company was already running SAP for materials management, distribution, warehouse management and production, thanks to an installation back in 2005 by BASF IT Services, which has now brought the upgrade online. Additionally, BASF IT Services has embedded a wine accounting program into the system, with interfaces to the main system to document all data connected with the wine business, from purchasing all the way to bottling. “We appreciate BASF IT Services as a competent partner with many years of experience in the process industry,” comments Hans Jürgen Klein, commercial manager at Schloss Wachenheim. “The SAP expansion enables us to utilise the complete potential of all the system’s business application possibilities. At the same time it forms the basis for an extensive roll-out of the SAP system at other European corporate locations,” he adds.
