Advice on setting up and running supply chain systems is being offered by The Supply Chain Doctor, recently set up by Dr Stephen Franks, formerly of advanced planning systems firms Manugistics and SP Point. Franks, who operates from the US, is building a network of independent advanced planning and scheduling specialists covering the UK and Europe. The group, he says, specialises in the application of Theory of Constraints style systems and processes. He says that SMEs in particular can profit from independent supply chain consultancy, and that there are several deals on offer – from subscription to daily rate. Go to www.thesupplychaindoctor.com
