Tier one automotive supplier TI Automotive says it’s global roll-out of Infor Automotive Essentials ERP is delivering on the promise of common lean processes and compliance with OEM and regulatory requirements.

The company has already deployed the system – which covers ERP for manufacturing, procurement and material flow integrated with automotive-centric customer management – to 74 manufacturing plants in 18 countries, running out of regional data centres. TI Automotive is a major supplier of integrated fuel storage and delivery systems for cars and trucks, and the leading manufacturer for fluid-carrying systems for braking and powertrain applications. Says Peter Stewart, global IT director at TI Automotive: “Our customers expect … the same level of control within TI Automotive anywhere in the world when it comes to traceability, manufacturing, logistics, or quality management. “Our deployment of Infor Automotive Essentials enables TI Automotive to compare performance across markets and share benchmark metrics and best practices, allowing us to continuously improve our business effectiveness. “We started with a small IT project aimed at reducing cost: now, our ERP implementation has evolved to being a business enabler, providing common processes, controls and real-time information across our markets and operations worldwide.”
