The blog includes articles created by the Toyota team to share their experience and knowledge in the logistics industry. It will publish regular articles offering advice and insight covering all elements of materials handling.
The free to view blog – called The Exchange – is a source of advice on a wide range of subjects including health and safety, buying guidance, plus the benefits and suitability of materials handling equipment in different working environments.
Commercial manager Tony Wallis said: “There are lots of things you need to consider when buying or operating forklift and warehouse trucks, so we want to offer people free guidance about all areas of materials handling.”
So far there have been articles on how to safely get on an off a forklift, advice of fuels and transmissions for forklifts trucks and discussion of the differences between purchase and rental.
Wallis added: “We decided to utilise the operations experience and product knowledge we have within our organisation to become thought leaders within the material handling sector. We want to establish a strong, trusted relationship with industry professionals and as a result allow them to consult us for advice across many areas.”
