UK manufacturing sector sees salary and vacancy growth

The UK manufacturing sector witnessed standout year-on-year salary growth in February, according to CV-Library.

Data collected by the independent job site shows salary growth was up 7.7% in February 2017 when compared to February 2016 – slightly behind property (up 8.7%) and automotive (up 9.1%).

The findings come as CV-Library revealed the nation witnessed a strong hike in pay in February, with average salaries rising by 1.9% when comparing year-on-year data.

Vacancies also grew by 7.6% nationwide with the manufacturing sector leading the way in terms of new job offerings (36%), followed by charity and design.
