Supply chain planning specialist Barloworld Supply Chain Software is working with Warwick Manufacturing Group to prepare the "supply chain industry leaders of tomorrow".

To assist students working towards an MSc in Supply Chain and Logistics Management on the Warwick university programme, Kevin Boake, Fraser Ironside and Jim Wilson from Barloworld SCS have been attending the university, as external speakers. "It's a great project to be involved with, allowing Barloworld SCS specialists the opportunity to share expertise and communicate with the next intake of supply chain professionals" comments Jim Wilson, strategic planning product manager at Barloworld SCS. "We offer tangible, real-world examples of how companies have re-engineered their supply chains through the application of advanced supply chain planning theory and optimisation software," he adds. As WMG senior teaching fellow at WMG Philip Foster puts it: "A great advantage of collaborating with Barloworld SCS is that the speakers are able to refer to the latest technologies available, and their case studies also relate to the latest challenges facing the supply chain world."
