Fence manufacturer relies on forklift truck deal from Amvar

Fence panel and post manufacturer Treeway Fencing has renewed its forklift truck contract with independent distributor Amvar Handling and has taken delivery of a new fleet of equipment including Toyota forklifts and a JCB Teletruk.

The Cannock-based manufacturer is now using two Toyota 3.5 tonne diesel forklifts, fitted with full steel cabs and hydraulic fork positioners; two 1.8 tonne Toyota diesel trucks for general handling duties; plus a JCB Teletruck, also fitted with a fork positioner. The Teletruk is used to load and unload on one side of trailers. "We run a very busy operation here at Treeway and therefore rely heavily on our forklift supplier to keep the handling equipment running at all times," said Treeway's director Ken Greenaway. "Amvar has always given us excellent support and their local engineers do a superb job. I must admit we did have cheaper offers on the table, but we decided to stay with Amvar as they are a very professional outfit." Amvar supplied the vehicles on a five-year contract hire.
