Oracle has set new dates for premier support for the latest releases of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 2 and World A9.2 Update 1 ERP systems.

EnterpriseOne support will end in November 2015, while World is covered to May 2015. Oracle says that publication of these timelines will give JD Edwards customers the confidence to begin upgrades immediately, knowing that they are entitled to full support until 2015, without additional fees. Lyle Ekdahl, Oracle's group vice president and general manager for JD Edwards, suggests that customers begin planning upgrades from versions that are currently unsupported or about to come off of premier support. He also reminds users that new tools and resources are available, including Oracle Upgrade Advisor and an electronic Release Value Proposition, designed to allow customers to select their release path and receive a customised enhancements report. "We've listened to our customers' feedback and set the new Oracle premier support timeline to allow more flexibility in planning upgrades and to further incentivise the upgrade process," comments Ekdahl. "The latest releases of Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World deliver significant enhancements that support our customers' business goals. Oracle Premier Support takes that to the next level by providing industry leading support." New functionality within EnterpriseOne 9.0 Update 2 includes enhancements that improve handling of global market dynamics, regulatory reporting and technical changes in IT ecosystem. Meanwhile, World A9.2 Update 1 includes new industry functionality with better access to more advanced applications and business information.
