Automated Packaging Systems selects IFS Applications ERP

Flexible bag packaging systems manufacturer Automated Packaging Systems has selected IFS Applications ERP software for implementation at 14 sites – 10 in the US and four across Europe.

APS vice president of finance David Goessler says the firm will implement IFS Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Business Performance and IFS HR at its global HQ, manufacturing plants and sales offices in the US. The ERP solution will also be implemented at its European corporate office and manufacturing facility in the UK, as well as offices in Belgium, France and Germany. Goessler states that IFS Applications was chosen for its multi-language, multi-currency, multi-mode manufacturing operations capabilities, all of which are required to facilitate international growth. APS' steering group agreed that the IFS solution would allow its manufacturing businesses to standardise and streamline business processes, which have been managed outside its existing ERP system. "Throughout our selection process, IFS took the time to listen to our concerns, problems and issues," comments Goessler. "They then delivered tailored demonstrations that provided impressive solutions. In addition, we received personalised attention during the evaluation process that we believe will continue throughout the implementation process," he continues. "The IFS team seems genuinely interested in forming a partnership with APS and this aligns well with our business philosophy. And at the end of the day, we felt that IFS provided the most cost-effective solution that will help us achieve our business objectives."
