Interactive manufacturing IT Forum invitation

1 min read

For 2009, Manufacturing Computer Solutions in association with Works Management is launching MCS Forum, with a series of informal manufacturing IT roundtables, aimed at project teams concerned with implementing, rolling out or revitalising their IT systems.

Under the direction of technology editor Brian Tinham, there will be four half-day events, providing opportunities for discussion, advice and guidance. Venues will move around the UK, starting at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre. Dates and themes are: Wednesday 4 February: business intelligence, business performance management, legacy upgrades etc – all about sweating assets and reconsidering KPIs and how to get to them. Wednesday 22 April: IT for product and business innovation – creating sustainability, all the way from conceptual design through change management to flexible production and business operations. Thursday 18 June: operational planning, demand planning, supply chain improvement and S&OP – but with the power of modern systems to make them work. Wednesday 7 October: IT for improving customer service while simultaneously maximising revenues – not just CRM, but also configurators, links into ERP, EAM and supply chain systems. Delegates will include operations directors, finance directors and those responsible for IT. They will be joined by our advisory panel of manufacturing IT experts from a range of industries, as well as consultants, lean practitioners and software and services vendors. This is absolutely not about sales presentations; it is absolutely about raising issues, sharing and solving problems and networking with like-minded senior and experienced people.
