Hurry, there's just one week left to book your space for this year's WM Manufacturing Conference, which includes exclusive factory tours to Airbus and Jaguar Land Rover.

The stellar WMMC event take place on 20 and 21 November, at Cranage Hall, Crewe and will offer delegates the chance to go lineside at some of Britain's biggest manufacturing names. A tour to Jaguar's Halewood site will show you how workforce-led kaizen helps the factory keep pace with soaring demand for Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Freelander 2 models. Airbus will offer exclusive insight into the CI techniques that help its Broughton site manufacture wings for the A380, the world's largest passenger airliner. Other tour options include Vauxhall, Ellesmere Port; Siemens, Congleton and Quinn Glass, Elton. As well as visiting factories, Delegates will also have the chance to listen to best practice CI advice. The WMMC keynote speaker programme features Darren Patterson, business improvement director at BAE Systems, Rochester and Jason Speedy, head of manufacturing at Siemens' Congleton plant. Day two of WMMC features a revamped, action packed workshop programme. The emphasis is on putting lean theory into practice. Interactive sessions will include a team of show dogs and their handlers demonstrating the importance of good communication to lean success, a Lego based assembly challenge and the chance to put your lean knowledge to the test on a mocked up manufacturing rig run by the Lean Factory Group. The WMMC event has experienced high demand so there are only a limited number of spaces left on this year's conference.
