PEME is supporting Works Management's quest to find the UK's brightest and best factory teams by sponsoring the maintenance team category at this year's Manufacturing Champions Awards.

The maintenance team category is dedicated to the maintenance department on a mission to make downtime a distant memory at their site.

Ashley Maile (pictured), managing director of PEME, said: "PEME is delighted to be the inaugural sponsor of the new Maintenance Team of the Year category at this year's Manufacturing Champions awards. We understand the vital role maintenance teams should be playing in delivering productivity targets within manufacturing companies, both big and small.

"PEME is all about encouraging productivity improvement through maintenance reliability best-practise and we look forward to celebrating maintenance excellence in recognising the winning team. "

The Manufacturing Champions Awards were launched in 2014 to promote the people whose pride and professionalism help UK sites compete on the global stage. Ten categories are open for entry until 24 September with the winners announced at a glittering grand final on 3 December in Manchester.

Maile added: "The superb Works Management Manufacturing Champions awards give entrants an opportunity to show how fantastic they are and an opportunity for the manufacturing sector to celebrate its highest achievers."
