Getting the nation back to work: a Manufacturing Management live panel

1 min read

A new Manufacturing Management event explores the steps manufacturers should be taking to get their factories ready for a safe restart.

The event, the first in a new series of Live Panels, saw MM editor Chris Beck joined by Andrew Ward, director of health, safety and sustainability at Make UK, and Alyn Franklin, CEO of Alcumus Group.

The discussion, which can be watched for free below, saw the group discuss the importance of understanding the concerns of your workforce, as well as how to prepare the plant itself for operation after weeks of shutdown.

"During these unprecedented times, getting access to the right information as quickly as possible is vital," says Chris Beck. "That's why we've launched these expert-led sessions to provide guidance to manufacturers who may be struggling to work out what happens next."

The panel marks the first in a series of live discussions, which will be available over the coming weeks. MM has teamed up with Make UK to provide free-to-watch, informative content to help guide the sector through the coronavirus lockdown and beyond.

"We are keen to hear any feedback or follow-up questions you may have, so please comment on the news story, LinkedIn or Twitter post, or email me at chris.beck@markallengroup.com to have your say," concluded Beck.
